One of the Ecstatic Himalaya representative will be awaiting for your arrival at the Paro International Airport. He/she will greet you and take you to the hotel booked for you in Paro. After a quick refreshment, the day will be spent exploring the attractions of Paro. Starting with Rinpung Dzong, a very famous fortress and a Buddhist monastery of the Drupa Lineage of the Kagyu school in the Paro district, which now accommodated the district Monastic Body and Government Administrative Office of Paro Dzongkhag, the day tour continues with a visit to Kichu Lhakhang (the oldest monastery in Bhutan), 5 km from the Paro Town and ends with an exploration of Drugyal Dzong (the Victory Fort built in 1649), 14 km north of the Paro city. The night will be spent in a hotel in Paro.

(Highlights of the day: The entire fortress complex exhibiting valuable architecture, sculpture and artwork; magnificently unique shrines and chapels; the Deyangkha Temple; amazing view of the seven storied watch tower fortress – Ta Dzong; prayer wheels, chortens and the beautiful architecture of Kiychu Lakhang and the ruins of Druyyal Dzong built during the 16th century to honor the victory over an invasion of Tibet.)
Day 02: Drive to Thimpu. 2350m7710ft- 54km (2 hours)
On this day, starts with a breakfast your hotel and continues with a half-day hiking excursion of the Tiger’s Nest Monastery, nestled 900 meters above Paro on the edge of the cliff. The excursion will be complete in about 4-5 hour; including the lunch time, after which we will drive to Thimpu, the capital city of Bhutan. 2 hours drive from Paro will take us to Thimpu. The evening will be spent exploring the market and the lifestyle of people in Thimpu. The night will be spent in a hotel in Thimpu.

(Highlights of the day: Beautiful trail to Taktsang Monastery accompanied by blue pine trees, prayer flags, paraphernalia vendors, Guru Rinpoche’s cave and waterfall; the architecture of the temples and the residential shelters of the Taktsang temple complex; elegant images of Avalokitesvara and Bodhisttvas; Taktshang Zangdo Pari, Peak of Urgyan; temple of Urgyan; welcoming view of the Paro Valley, and attractive markets and the lifestyle of people in Thimpu.)
Day 03: Explore Thimpu
We Explore Thimpu as the entire day will be spent exploring the attraction of Thimpu. After breakfast at the hotel, without wasting a single minute we will set off to visit the King’s memorial chorten (dedicated to the 3rd King of Bhutan), the most visible religious landmark in Bhutan, built in 1974. After visiting the chorten, we will also visit other attractions of Thimpu including the radio tower, the zoo, the Nunnery Temple, the National Library, the Institute of Traditional Medicine, the Textile Museum, the Handicraft Emporium, the Traditional Paper Factory and the Tashichho Dzong. The lunch will be served, where feasible. Even the evening will be utilized to stroll around the streets of Thimpu. Overnight in a hotel in Thimpu.

(Highlights of the day: The unique architecture of the Memorial Stupa decorated with invaluable golden spires, bells, the depiction of larger than life size images of furious deities with their furious companions,unambiguous Yab-Yum sexual poses, representation of Avalokitesvara, Manjusri and Vajrapani, slates engraved with the images of Gautam Buddha, Ngawang Namgyal and Padmasambhava, prayer wheels, mandalas, shrines and statues dedicated to the 3rd King, and the teachings of Vaajrakilaya, Drupa Lineage of the Kagyu school and Lama Gongdu; amazing view of the Thimpu Vaalley and the Thimpu Dzong from the radio tower; wide assortment of animals in the zoo including the national animal of Bhutan; ancient manuscripts in the National Library; the exhibition of herbs, minerals, precious metals, gems and animal parts in the Institute of Traditional Medicine; special handicrafts of Bhutan; the majestic architecture of Tashichho Dzong and the beautiful temples, chapels and shrines in its premise.)
Day 04: Drive to Paro and final departure from Bhutan
Last day in Bhutan…. The flights to and from Bhutan are usually scheduled early in the morning. Therefore, after breakfast at the hotel , our representative will drive you directly to Paro International Airport, as per your flight schedule.
