Nuwakot Durbar

Nuwakot Durbar

Nuwakot Durbar is not too far from the Kathmandu valley. You can just take out one or two days from your Nepal travel schedule for visiting this ancient palace that was build during the regime of Prithvi Narayan Shah in 18th century. This palace is an important landmark in the history of Nepal and is situated in the mid hills of central Nepal.  This ancient building stands proud at the elevation of 900 m. Though the interiors were damaged by the recent earthquake of April 25, 2015, it’s still possible for visitors to stroll around and click photographs. It is a seven-story palace that is reached after an hour uphill climb from a small town called Trishuli Bazar.
