Explore the cultural and natural wonders of the last and only existing kingdom of Himalayan nation- Upper Mustang Trek

Fabled walled city and the mysterious land of Lopas, Upper Mustang is Nepal's one of the best hidden gems. Upper Mustang Trek caters incredible culture, magnificent Himalayan panorama and the prosperous history of human civilization.

The restricted region beyond Kagbeni, Upper Mustang demands taxing fee of 500 dollars to enter. However, the rewards the region offers are relatively lesser to the cost trekkers pay. The windswept highland deserts, where colorful hills full of Buddhist myths blend very well with the towering Himalayan giants including Annapurna and Dhaulagiri. The high caves on the cliffs that once were sky burials are full of historic human civilization in the region. Moreover, the monasteries’ existing in the traditional hamlets of Upper Mustang allows us to expreince utter peace in the lap of Himalayas.

The trek begins with the scenic flight to Jomsom, the windy city under Himalayas and gradually slides up stretching on the pleasant trails with no significant steep climb all the way to Upper Mustang. The trek has no issues of altitude sickness compared to other strenuous treks of Nepal, however, the cultural experience and the landscapes trekkers get to see are beyond doubt the best of all.

Excellent guidance of experienced guides, amazing hospitality of the locals and the superb weather throughout would definitely make Upper Mustang Trek the holiday of a lifetime.
